I am not an email forwarder, but thought this was a great way to look at things!
Why go to Church?
If you're spiritually alive , you're going to love this!
If you're spiritually dead , you won't want to read it.
If you're spiritually curious , there is still hope!
Why Go To Church?
A Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. "I've gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the pastors are wasting their time.
This started a real controversy in the "Letters to the Editor" column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher:
"I'v e been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this.. They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!" When you are DOWN to nothing...... God is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible! Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment!

Have you ever....
Felt so incredibly BLAH, like you can do nothing right and are just not meant to do all of the things in this life that you are doing?
Weeelll, I have. Alot. Like every.single.day lately. I'm such a blah wife, blah mom, blah friend, blah teacher, blah co-worker, blah everything!!!! And it is so very frustrating! I know that the Lord is my refuge, and I need to seek His face in times like these, but I have constantly been attacked lately with feelings that I am not good enough for Him. My faith tells me otherwise, but there is always that little whisper in the back of my mind that I will never be good enough. That I just don't have what it takes. That there's no way I can ever amount to what God has called me to amount to. And I know that these are all just lies....but I have always been an insecure person.
My hope is in Christ alone, and I know I need to rest in Him always, but definetely in times like these.
(*sorry I've been absent for OH, almost a year and this is what I come back to the blogosphere with)
